Meet Jaxon Richards
- Name (Including nickname)? What is the origin of your name?
Jaxson Richards. I have no idea of the origin—my parents never discussed it and they were gone before I was interested in knowing.
- What are your most distinguishing features?
I have a cleft in my chin. Women have told me it makes me look like a wet dream *wink*
Also, I’ve been told I have very nice hands.
- Favorite time of day and why?
I love the early morning. There was a time I would have said it was because it’s when the world was quiet and still and I be productive without the partners interrupting me. Now, it is still early in the morning but before she begins to stir. I can see her at peace and feel like nothing can touch us. With her beside me, I am invincible.
- Favorite kind of music and why?
Depends on what I am doing. If I am at the gym hitting the weights hard, I have this on my playlist hooked up to my airpods:
Till I Collapse – Eminem
Killing in the Name – Rage Against The Machine
Higher Ground – Red Hot Chili Peppers
If I have company, I put on classical music but keep the volume low. The truth is, I don’t have friends over. Just one person. I want to listen to her voice—it is soothing to me.
- Fondest memory and why?
Graduating from University of Toronto Faculty of Law. Walking across that stage knowing I could start my own life and be my own person. No wait – that’s an old memory I tell the Alumni association. But now, I would say it was a day last fall when a brilliant law intern walked into my office. She was dazzling and quick. Instantly, I wanted to know everything about her.
- Would you rather be by yourself or surrounded by people?
Working in a busy law practice, I have clients, staff, my assistant Michael who is in and out of my office all day. I am not much of a people person. I don’t ‘hang’ out with friends. I like my solitude. I also like to share my solitude with her.
- What’s your ideal type of woman?
I didn’t think I had one. As long as they were accommodating to my schedule and expected nothing from me. Now, she needs to be smart and strong minded. I like the give and take. I like it when she calls me on my shit. She needs to laugh easily when humored. To hear what I can’t say and know how hard it is for me to even think it.
- What’s your ideal date?
Time with Grace. Anything she wants to do.
- Tell us something about yourself that no one knows.
I fenced in university. I thought it would be something different than being a typical jock. The co-eds found it romantic.
- What is happiness to you?
Coffee. My desk and files in order. Winning a court case. And Grace. She is the epitome of happiness.

That’s it, the minute we get out of Lock down, I’m heading over to UofT to find the picture of his graduating year, or maybe I will just head over to Osgoode Hall to see if I can catch a glimpse of him and maybe a glimpse of Grace as well….
